To strengthen ASEAN countries’ institutional and technical capacities, this program provides training on preventing cyber-enabled financial crime, virtual asset security, and related regulations for financial and virtual asset officials and government representatives. It also aims to foster stronger ties and goodwill toward Korea among ASEAN countries.
■ Program Overview
- Related Organizations: Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) / ASEAN-Korea Cooperation Fund (AKCF)
- Target Participants: Financial and virtual asset officials and government representatives from 11 ASEAN countries* and the ASEAN Secretariat**, at junior, middle-management, and senior levels
· * The 10 ASEAN Member States—Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam—as well as Timor-Leste
· ** Relevant government agencies, including virtual asset authorities, ministries of science and ICT, national police agencies, central banks, and financial regulatory authorities
- Schedule: January–March 2026 (Year 1); October–November 2026 (Year 2); September–October 2027 (Year 3)
- Training Format: Blended training consisting of seven days of online sessions and seven days of in-country training in Korea, with a total of 69 trainees expected over the three-year program
■ Call for Program Speakers (Open Recruitment)
- Eligibility: Professionals in virtual assets and cybersecurity who can deliver lectures in English
· At least five years of relevant professional experience is required.
· Preference will be given to speakers who can lecture in English. However, simultaneous interpretation may be provided if the proposed lecture is deemed relevant to the program.
- Required Documents: Korean and English resumes
· Speaker fees vary depending on experience, approximately KRW 300,000–500,000 for a two-hour lecture.

■ Briefing Session for Korean Cybersecurity Companies
The Korea Information Security Industry Association (KISIA) will provide a session for Korean cybersecurity companies to introduce their advanced technologies and network with financial and virtual asset officials and government representatives from ASEAN countries participating in the “ASEAN Virtual Asset Theft Response Capacity-Building Program.”
